What is the Difference Between a Backhoe and a Backhoe Loader?

TEVIS Backhoe Loader: An All-Round Solution for Heavy-Duty Working Conditions

The TEVIS backhoe loader is a heavy-duty excavating and loading equipment tailored for complex working conditions such as mining, municipal engineering, agricultural planting, and road emergency repair. It innovatively adopts an integrated functional design of "front loading & unloading + rear excavation", and can flexibly switch working modes with the Aolite series of diverse attachments to realize seamless connection of multiple functions including excavation, loading, and handling. With the core design concepts of "extreme durability, humanized operation, and low-cost maintenance", the key structures of the machine body are integrally forged with high-strength wear-resistant steel, and the core hydraulic components have undergone 100,000 fatigue tests to ensure stable operation even in extreme environments ranging from -20℃ to 45℃, perfectly adapting to various high-intensity and high-frequency composite working scenarios. To meet different operation needs, the equipment provides two driving modes: two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. Under the two-wheel drive mode, it can achieve a high-speed transition of 40km/h, greatly improving the efficiency of cross-site operations; the four-wheel drive mode is equipped with a differential lock device, which increases the grip by 30%, easily coping with the obstacle-surmounting and rescue needs in complex terrains such as mud and gravel.

Versatility

The large-capacity bucket standard at the front adopts a streamlined bucket design to reduce material adhesion, and its loading and unloading efficiency is 15% higher than that of traditional buckets. It can easily meet the needs of loading, unloading and short-distance transportation of materials such as sand, coal, and soil, and performs outstandingly in road construction projects, efficiently completing both foundation earthwork and subgrade backfilling operations. Equipped with Aolite multi-functional attachments, the equipment can quickly switch between bulldozer blades, grading blades and other devices. Among them, the grading blade is equipped with a laser leveling system, with an operation accuracy of ±2mm, which can efficiently complete the leveling work of construction sites and farmland. By flexibly matching different auxiliary tools, the equipment can also develop dozens of operation functions such as snow removal, hoisting, material handling, and steel clamping. For example, when equipped with a roller-brush snow removal attachment in winter, it can achieve a snow removal efficiency of 2000㎡ per hour, and when equipped with a hydraulic spreader, it can hoist heavy equipment within 3 tons.

The rear excavation device adopts a three-section telescopic arm structure with a wide adjustment range of excavation angles, which can work in narrow spaces and perfectly meet the deep operation needs such as house foundation construction, underground pipeline laying, and drainage system construction. Equipped with the Aolite quick-change device, operators can switch dozens of attachments such as various types of buckets, breakers, rippers, grapples, and augers within 3 minutes without tools. The equipment utilization rate is increased to more than 85%, truly realizing "one machine with multiple uses and one machine with multiple functions" for customers, and greatly reducing equipment procurement costs and site occupation space.

Greater Digging Depth

Relying on TEVIS's core hydraulic system and modular structure design, this backhoe loader has achieved a breakthrough in digging depth among products of the same level. Under standard configuration, its maximum digging depth has reached 4.5 meters, far exceeding the average level of similar equipment in the industry. When facing operation scenarios that require additional digging depth such as bridge pile foundations and deep trench excavation, the telescopic excavating arm standardly equipped with the equipment can realize secondary extension, digging 800 to 1000mm more than other machines of the same size, with a maximum digging depth of up to 5.5 meters. The telescopic arm is welded with high-strength alloy steel pipes and equipped with a dual hydraulic locking mechanism, which can still maintain stable digging force in the fully extended state, avoiding arm sinking during operation and ensuring the safety and accuracy of excavation operations.

High Lift Height, Working Radius, and Lifting Capacity

The equipment also performs excellently in loading operation performance. The unloading height of the front bucket reaches 3120mm, and with the super large working radius of 6500mm, operators can complete all-round unloading without frequently adjusting the equipment position when loading materials into large trucks and mixing plant silos, effectively reducing operation blind spots. Even in space-constrained areas such as tunnels and workshops, materials can be easily placed in hard-to-reach positions, greatly improving operation flexibility. To meet the needs of heavy-duty operations, the BL90-25 model is equipped with a standard general-purpose bucket, the rated operation capacity of the loader reaches 2500kg, and the bucket lifting speed is 0.8m/s, which is 20% faster than the industry average. It can realize continuous and efficient loading operations, and is especially suitable for heavy-duty scenarios with concentrated materials such as mines and ports.

Powerful and Efficient Weichai Engine

As the "power core" of the equipment, the TEVIS backhoe loader is equipped with a 73KW turbocharged Weichai engine. This engine meets the National IV emission standard, adopts high-pressure common rail fuel injection technology and exhaust gas turbocharging intercooling technology, and the fuel combustion efficiency is increased to 42%, which is 10%-15% more fuel-efficient than traditional engines. The maximum torque of the engine reaches 320N·m, and it can output strong power at low speeds, ensuring that the equipment will not experience insufficient power under working conditions such as hard rock excavation and heavy-duty loading. At the same time, the engine is equipped with an intelligent temperature control system and noise reduction device, with an operating noise of less than 75 decibels, which effectively improves the working environment of operators; its maintenance cycle is as long as 500 hours, and the oil change volume is reduced by 30%, which greatly reduces the maintenance cost and downtime of the equipment, creating higher operating benefits for customers.
